RBL Poppy Appeal 2024

The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal once again received your generous support. This year we kicked off the appeal at a Coffee Morning in Pembridge Parish Hall which was well attended and will become a regular feature of our fund-raising efforts in future years.

Over 75 collecting tins were distributed throughout Pembridge, Shobdon, Wigmore, Leintwardine, Dilwyn, and Eardisland. We raised over £9,000 for the vital work of the Royal British Legion in supporting veterans and their families.

On behalf of the Poppy Appeal, I would like to thank our collector’s, the businesses and schools which hosted collection points, and the churches which led our Remembrance services and donated their collections to the Poppy  Appeal. Your generosity in contributing each year to an ever-bigger sum is deeply appreciated.

2025 marks the 80th anniversary of VE Day (8th May) and we will be marking that day and remembering those Pembridge men who gave their lives for our freedom and the many others who achieved extraordinary feats during wartime.

Thank you for your continued support
