Pride in Pembridge (PIPs) Adopt Olympic Theme

PIPs will be meeting this coming Thursday (Feb 29th) at 4.00 pm (to 6.00 pm latest) at the Market Hall to litter pick through the village. We would welcome anyone who would like to join in. (Please bring a bin liner and a pick-up stick if you can though, as PIPs don’t have much in the way of spares.)

During March we will meet at the usual time of 10 am on Thursday mornings (weather permitting). In our schedule, we have a wide variety of jobs including:-

  • Tidying up the children’s playground for Easter.

  • Building a fifth planter for the Townsend verge to increase the impact of the planting at the east entrance to the village and incorporating our Olympic summer planting theme.

  • Weeding and sweeping Bridge Street raised pavement.

  • Maintaining our other planted areas such as the Jubilee Bed and the Memorial Garden.

We would welcome more members as it is more fun and more satisfying when a group tackles a task together so, please come along and introduce yourself or phone Karen, our secretary, on 07880942219.

Karen Goodwin, Secretary PIPs

PIPS Chairman Colin Piers, and Secretary Karen Goodwin were joined by employees of
