Wildflower Garden in St Mary’s Churchyard

Last Autumn volunteers were seen scarifying the church lawns to the left of the Bell Tower. This marked the beginning of creating a wildflower area in this part of St Mary’s Churchyard. Esther Clarke, a wildlife conservationist, and Marston resident led the project and later in the year we’ll be sharing her tips for creating and maintaining your own wildflower patch.

For now, she advises keeping the ground unmown until the end of May to see what may already be growing there. Below we share the poster which explains what’s happening in the Churchyard.
