Thursday 26th September: My Generation (12) Trailer Book Now
It’s often said if you remember the 1960s, you weren’t there. Whether you lived through it or not, Michael Cain’s documentary of the popular cultural revolution in music, fashion, and social attitudes during the swinging sixties is not to be missed.
“The Way” (12) is showing on 24th October. By coincidence this is when Pembridge resident, Sarah Steer, and 18 others from Herefordshire hope to complete a 116km sponsored walk along the Camino Way In aid of St Michael’s Hospice. You can read about Sarah’s fund-raising efforts in our News section www.portraitofpembridge.co.uk/news
Thursday 24th October: The Way (12) Trailer Book Now
Inspiring and heartwarming, The Way follows the journey of Tom Avery, played by Martin Sheen, who embarks on a pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago after the tragic death of his son. As Tom walks the ancient path through Spain, he encounters a diverse group of fellow travellers, each with their own personal struggles and stories. Through these interactions, he begins to understand the true meaning of the journey and the value of human connection. Directed by Sheen's son Emilio Estevez, this film beautifully captures the transformative power of travel, the importance of family, and the healing process that comes from confronting one's own challenges. With its stunning cinematography and moving performances, The Way is a touching reminder that sometimes the most profound discoveries happen on the road less travelled.
