Ten Years of Pembridge Tapestries Celebration

Spring 2025 will see the tenth anniversary of the completion of the Pembridge Tapestries, which are on permanent display in St Mary’s  Church.

In celebration of this anniversary, I have completed a suite of twelve new songs, one for each tapestry, for performance, alongside video projections of the tapestries and narrations on the themes illustrated. I plan for a simple run-through of this material at a workshop session in the coming weeks, with the aim of offering a full performance event in early 2025.

I would welcome the involvement of a wider group of singers, instrumentalists, and narrators from the village community, and invite any interested performers to contact me (andytd73@gmail.com) and to attend the workshop session to see whether they would like to participate in this project.

It is likely to appeal to those who enjoy tradition-based folk music, folklore, and the popular songs of yesteryear.
